157 players go into Round 2 and the picks are in. 12 different teams have been selected with 4 teams only being picked by 1 player (Arsenal, Bournemouth, Burnley & West Ham). City are this week’s banker with 76 players’ hopes resting on Pep’s Superstars. Second favourite are Spurs with 36. Thankfully, there wasn’t too much carnage in Round 1. 167 started and 157 remain standing as we move into Round 2. 10 players were eliminated due to the failure of Southampton, Wolves & Everton to win their games. Last Man Standing Round 1 Update


A massive thanks to the 167 players who entered our LMS Fund-raiser. The Round 1 picks are Bournemouth (11), Chelsea (29), Palace (1), Everton (4), Liverpool (74), Man City (2), Man Utd (23), Southampton (3), Spurs (14), Watford (3) & Wolves (3). 11 different teams selected with almost half of our entrants banking on Jurgen Klopp’s Reds doing a job on the Hammers tomorrow. A bit of early strategy in play already with the picks of Palace, Southampton, Wolves & Watford. By Sunday evening we will know how many players are left standing and through to Round 2. As a thank you for your support, all 167 players will be entered into an exclusive draw for 2 tickets to the Ireland v Denmark Nations League game in the Aviva on Sat, Oct 13. Good friends Ger Lees & Ger Lenihan were the two final players left standing. Rather than fall out, they have decided to split the €500 first prize between them. Well done lads and enjoy the €250 each. The next edition of LMS will be starting in the next few weeks. Thanks to everyone who entered this time around.

Round 6 took place last weekend with just 8 players remaining. The selections were Chelsea (2), Man Utd (4), Stoke (1) and Newcastle (1). Only 2 players now remain in contention for the €500 first prize. Ger Lees & Ger Lenihan both selected Chelsea, while the other six players were eliminated.

Last Man Standing continued at the weekend, with 29 players starting round 4. The selections were Arsenal (13), Chelsea (5), Liverpool (2), Man Utd (1), Southampton (7) & Watford (1). Following the weekend fixtures, 15 players were eliminated and just 14 players remain in contention to win the €500 first prize after advancing to round 5.
