The teams selected were Liverpool, Arsenal, Man Utd, Swansea, Spurs & West Ham.
Three players were eliminated and 25 are through to round 3 this coming weekend and remain in contention for the €500 first prize.
156 players started the first LMS of the 2015/16 season and after the carnage over the weekend, just 28 players remain! The 28 can thank Palace, Villa, Utd, City & Liverpool for making it through to round 2. As for Everton, Arsenal & Chelsea, the less said, the better. As there is a Friday game this week, the remaining 28 players should text their team selection by 12 noon on Friday. Thanks to everyone who entered the competition.
Last Man Standing returned last weekend with 156 players entered.
Unfortunately, there was carnage in round 1, mainly due to the failure of Everton, Chelsea & Arsenal to win their games.
Only 28 players have made it through through to the next round.
Thanks to everyone who entered the competition and for supporting the club’s fundraising efforts.
Be sure to enter before 11pm on Friday, August 7 to be in with a chance to win €500.
Entry is €10. Please text your name to 087 3889484 if you’d like to play. The entry fee can be given to any player, team manager or committee member. Alternatively e-mail us at email@example.com for more info.
Make the premiership weekends more interesting, challenge your friends & family, while supporting the soccer club.
If you haven’t played before, it’s easy. Each game week you will be texted the fixture list, you pick the Premiership team that you think will win their game and text back your selection. If your team wins their game, you are through to the next round. You can’t pick the same team twice. If they lose or draw, then you are out. This continues until the Last Man or Woman is left standing. As always, your support is greatly appreciated.

And then there were four, namely Ross Dunne, Kevin O’Brien, Mike Fogarty & Brian O’Sullivan. If there isn’t an outright winner by the end of the season, the €500 first prize will be split amongst the remaining players. Below are the remaining players and their selections to date.
Round 7 of Last Man Standing took place last weekend with 17 players still remaining. The teams selected were Chelsea, West Ham, Liverpool, Leicester & Swansea. As they all won, no players were eliminated and the same 17 are through to round 8 this coming weekend and remain in contention for the €500 first prize.
