Last Man Standing – May 11 2015

And then there were four, namely Ross Dunne, Kevin O’Brien, Mike Fogarty & Brian O’Sullivan. Thanks to Aston Villa and the abysmal failures of Arsenal, Everton & Hull, four players are left standing as we head into round 9 next week. If there isn’t an outright winner by the end of the season, the €500 first prize will be split amongst the remaining players. Below are the remaining players and their selections to date. Last Man Standing – May 4 2015

Round 7 of Last Man Standing took place last weekend with 17 players still remaining. The teams selected were Chelsea, West Ham, Liverpool, Leicester & Swansea. As they all won, no players were eliminated and the same 17 are through to round 8 this coming weekend and remain in contention for the €500 first prize.

35 players entered round 6 but after last weekend’s games, only the 17 players selected Man City advanced to round 7 this coming weekend.

Crystal Palace, Liverpool, QPR & Stoke were the cause of 18 players being eliminated.

47 players started round 5 of Last Man Standing but after the weekend just 35 remain after Spurs & West Brom cost 12 players their place. Well done to the remaining players who go through to round 6.

The selections for round 5 were Arsenal 3, Chelsea 1, Liverpool 9, Southampton 22, Spurs 10 & West Brom 2.

And then there were 47. Man City, Spurs and West Brom’s failure to win over the weekend cost 22 players their place in LMS over the weekend. Best of luck to those remaining in round 5 next weekend.

The full selections for round 4 were; Chelsea 27, Man Utd 11, Swansea 9, Spurs 4, Man City 3 & West Brom 15.


Last Man Standing – 23-03-2015

Last Man Standing Round 3: 75 players had made it through to round 3 last weekend and there were only 6 casualties, due to Burnley, Liverpool & Stoke all losing.

69 players now go through to round 4, which will be over the Easter weekend as next week is international fixtures.

Last Man Standing Round 2: 65 players were eliminated from Last Man Standing last weekend after round 2, with Man City & Chelsea being the main casualties.

75 players are through to round 3 this weekend.

There was no round of Last Man Standing last weekend but round 2 is on this weekend with the 138 remaining players.

In Last Man Standing, we had 193 starting but after round 1, 55 players fell at the first hurdle, which leaves 137 going through to round 2.

Our casualties were Villa (2), Burnley (2), Hull (1), Southampton (7), West Ham (23) & Man City (20).

Farewell to the departed and well done to the 138 remaining.

This week’s midweek games don’t count, therefore the next round takes place on the weekend of March 14/15/16.

  • Each game week you pick a Premier League team which you think will WIN their game.
  • If your team draws or loses their game you are out of the competition.
  • Each week you must text your name and team to 087 – 3889484.
  • Enter by providing your mobile number and paying any committee member or team manager or enter by using the competition boxes located in Centra, English’s or Kennedys Discount Store.
  • You must submit your team by 12 midnight on the Friday of a game week.
  • Game weeks will run based on weekend and Monday fixtures.
  • Midweek fixtures will not count.
