We are looking to build up an archive of photos from the club’s foundation in 1970.
If you can help, please scan and e-mail them to email@example.com.
If you are unable to scan or e-mail them, please pass on the original to any committee member and we can scan them and return the original.
Thanks a million.
Thank you to all our younger players, coaches & parents who turned out in such large numbers to march in the Newport St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
Once again, the weather was lovely for the parade and the children had great fun.
Well done to the parade committee for organising such a wonderful community event.
A full gallery of images can be viewed here.
On Saturday, March 14 the Newport St. Patrick’s Day Parade takes place, starting at 2pm.
Once again, Newport Town AFC is delighted to be taking part.
We will be hoping to see as many of our schoolboy & schoolgirl players as possible marching in the parade, proudly representing the soccer club in their NTAFC jerseys.
Team managers will contact all parents with details in the coming week.
Topaz Cash for Clubs gives Newport Town AFC the chance to win thousands of Euro for the soccer club. We are asking everyone to get behind the club’s effort and start collecting for the soccer club today.
Ryan’s Centra Topaz in Newport is our local Topaz garage. Simply pick up a Cash For Clubs Card at Ryans Centra or any Topaz and get the card stamped every time you spend €40 or more on fuel at any Topaz garage.
When you fill a card (5 stamps), simply return the card to any committee member or team manager. We need to collect 300 completed cards by the closing date of May 10th.
Please ask your family, friends and neighbours to start collecting for the soccer club today.
Today is a very exciting, proud and special day for Newport Town AFC as we are delighted to announce the launch of the club’s official website www.newporttownafc.com in partnership with Carlos Lancha of Lancha Multimedia who has very kindly sponsored the design and set-up of the website. A lot of time, effort and man hours has been put into the new website by Carlos and committee members and we hope that you like the design layout & content.
The club has been growing from strength to strength since its foundation in 1970 both on and off the playing field with almost 250 players currently representing the club at all levels and the new website is another hugely positive step forward for the soccer club. It will be the focal point for information on all club activity for players, managers, our supporters, visiting teams and guests wherever they may be. Our existing weekly newsletter, ‘The Derryleigh Diary’, our presence on Facebook & Twitter and our weekly club notes in the local paper will continue as normal and will all complement the website. Newporttownafc.com will also act as an archive for the club’s history for generations to come and it is our intention over time to record the club’s history back to its foundation in 1970 but this will be a work in progress.
We would ask you all to visit www.newporttownafc.com, take a look around the site and if you have any feedback or comments, please feel free to contact us on the club’s new e-mail address firstname.lastname@example.org. Please tell your friends & family about the website and help spread the word.
This is another exciting chapter in the club’s progression and we all look forward to the future.
Lancha Multimedia are very proud to sponsor the Newport Town AFC website.
We are delighted to be in partnership with NTAFC and to be able to contribute to the enhancement of this club.
The NTAFC website will allow its supporters to access the latest match results & reports and stay updated with all the club’s news & events, as it is a multi-platform accessible website, using responsive design, with a content management system.
We hope that the website will be a source of knowledge and information for the NTAFC football family and the community in general. We welcome your feedback, comments and suggestions to help us to continually improve this website.
If you are interested in developing your own website, please do not hesitate to contact us at email@example.com and visit our website www.lanchamultimedia.com.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish every success, on and off the pitch, to the NTAFC club and its supporters and we will endeavor to provide as much help as we can.
Carlos Lancha, Managing Director, Lancha Multimedia Ltd.

Well done to Daniel Egan, who last weekend was presented with his LDSL U11 Div 2 Player of the Year for the season 2013/14 at a glitzy awards ceremony in the Absolute Hotel.
Daniel had a fantastic season last year that included scoring eight goals and having many assists along the way, he scored the opening goal in our Cup Final win and also won the club’s U11 Player of the Year Award.
All involved with Newport Town AFC wish to extend deepest sympathies to his wife, Rita and the family of the late Patsy ‘Whacker’ O’Neill, who sadly passed away last weekend.
Whacker was one of the club stalwarts and had a long involvement in the soccer club since its foundation in 1970.
